When you request a quote with SSF, there can be various reasons why it might make sense to work with a so called “Engineering Services Proposal” (ESP)
This type of quoting has been devised to offer engineering services in those situations where a part has not yet been fully developed and there is no defined specification, where experiments are required with material or manufacturing methods, or when re-design is needed for product- and, or manufacturability optimization. To help you get to a final spec, SSF also offers rapid prototyping (ideally within 2 weeks, depending on engineering capacity and product complexity).
SSF’s experienced team delivers in-depth knowledge and understanding of complex medical device technologies. Not only do they know how to process silicone materials and integrate API’s when required – their application knowledge also allows them to assist you in finding the most suitable solution for your unique application.
An ESP describes the scope of a project and provides insight in steps to be taken, what the challenges are, materials to be used and the estimated time frame & costs. The costs stated will not be exceeded – only hours and materials consumed will eventually be invoiced.
